Lift Gate

A lift gate is a mechanical platform attached to the back of a delivery truck. A lift gate is used to lower heavy items from the back of the truck to the ground. If you do not have equipment and qualified operator available to unload your delivery--such as a forklift or tractor with forks--you will need a lift gate.

Residential / Farm / Ranch Location:

Any location where people live (or could potentially live) on the premises is considered a Residential address.

If you operate a business from your home, it is still considered a Residential address.

Farms and Ranches fall under this category as well, regardless of whether private or commercial operations.

Commercial / Business Location:

Home Based Businesses, Farms or Ranches of ANY Kind are NOT considered Commercial Locations by our carriers. There are NO exceptions. Please do not ask.

You will be responsible for any additional charges related to misidentification of your delivery location type or any delivery-related services not selected during checkout. Commercial / Business locations are those defined by our freight carriers as commercial sites.

Non-Commercial / Limited Access Locations include:
1) Residences, Farms or Ranches of any kind
2) Colleges, Schools, Universities
3) Government and Municipal facilities
4) Golf Courses, Hotels, Resorts or similar
5) Storage Facilities
6) Any location with living quarters on the premises
7) Any location deemed Non-Commercial by our carriers
8) Any location without full-drive through access for large tractor-trailers

Commercial Locations MUST include at minimum (NOTE: Meeting MINIMUM Requirements does not mean your location is and/or will be deemed Commercial by our carriers):
1) Commercial zoning within city limits
2) Easy, full-drive through access for large tractor-trailer delivery trucks
3) Loading dock or forklift on site
4) Regular posted business hours, Monday - Friday
5) Personnel available on-site during business hours to unload truck without advance notice

Home-based businesses do not qualify as a Commercial location. Any business being operated from a location where people could or do live at the same address or on the premises is considered a Residential address. The fact that a business is operated from a particular location does not qualify it as a Commercial address.

Commercial locations may be zoned as commercial real estate, however zoning designation alone is not sufficient for an address to qualify as a commercial location for delivery. If your business is located in a commercial area but has limited access as defined by our carriers, then you would be subject to limited access delivery fee.

Other restrictions apply. Please read our Terms & Conditions for full details.
